A male is still looking for a loving home

August 10th

We haven't updated the website in a while, but we're not sitting still. The puppies are allowed to play in the living room every day under supervision, which they think is really cool. We also went shopping with them at the garden center. Unfortunately, taking pictures wasn't easy with so many puppies on leashes. The puppies were introduced to passing cars and cyclists and played in the garden in front of the house.

They've grown so big that they went from K3 during the day to disco in the evening. They weren't particularly impressed and went to bed before closing time.

Now that the weather is a bit warmer, they have a little pool outside. In short, we're not sitting still and are still enjoying them immensely.

August 2nd
On Thursday the puppies had a photo shoot at Inge Jansen Bloem & Fotografie. The puppies that weren't having their turn could rump around and had a pillow to lie on and a bone to nibble on. They were super relaxed and did a great job. After dinner and a nap sweet Koda came to play. They liked that and it also taught them that not all dogs have spots.

On Friday the puppy playground was on the agenda. The weather was very bad, but luckily Gea had done amazing and had placed a large part of it under the patio. What a party! The puppies immediately started exploring and had a wonderful time. After a while they all fell asleep so we could enjoy a sandwich while it was raining. The puppies slept undisturbed. When they woke up, Sep was allowed to meet Dalina's team and he did really well. Then we had to get home quickly so they could eat and sleep a little before the visitors came. Another busy day, but the puppies had so much fun. Because it was still raining, they even played with the visitors in the stable for a while. It was so much fun.

July 30th

The puppies had a busy schedual the past few days. There have been lots of visitors over the days, and the puppies cuddled with everyone. On Saturday, fellow breeders and friends Ria, Marieke and Karin were there with Naomi. We've had a wonderful time and we were incredibly spoiled. Thank you so much!
Monday was an exciting day, the puppies had an appointment at the vet for their first vaccination and general check-up. They were super relaxed and had a great time playing in the consultation room. They have been examined and checked and, to our great joy, all passed without any remarks.

On Tuesday morning we went to the neighbours so the puppies could play in their garden. They totally loved it!
The BAER test was scheduled for today. We are so thrilled to announce that all 11 puppies have bilateral hearing! We are so incredibly proud of Dalina's team, what a dream litter!

We're trying to get the photo album of week 7 online as soon as possible, but it's currently so busy that it's difficult to sort through the hundreds of photos. So, we still owe you those.

July 25th

Just when we were wondering how we could do restaurant training with 11 puppies, Gea told us that we were welcome at Woodz in Hoogersmilde. How wonderful! When we arrived with the puppies, Gea had already set up a playpen, so the puppies could go straight into it from the wagon. They did really well and learned a lot. Thank you so much Woodz for the hospitality and Gea and Nanda for your help!

July 23rd
What a beautiful morning; the puppies went in the car for the first time! They were allowed to play with people further away in their fully fenced meadow. They loved it, running through the grass and cuddling with all the neighbours. It's unbelievable how open and relaxed they are, even in such a completely new environment. Wonderful to see. After 20 minutes, they were exhausted and snuggled up together under the cart. The photos of their adventure are in the album of week 6.

July 22nd

Yesterday the Dutch kennel club came by to microchip the puppies and take DNA samples. They are now officially registered pedigree dogs. Always a special day.

Today we took the puppies to go to the horses. That was quite an experience. They played happily in the hay. Our cat Yob also came along and they all got to meet Silvijn, who was very careful with them.

In the home, the door to the kitchen is often open now. This way the puppies broaden their world a little more every day.

July 21th
Even though we´re started to get a bit tired, we still enjoy the puppies every day. They´re now becoming real little doggies and want to discover everything. The puppies are busy training on the balance equipment and composing the best songs on their piano (when we turn it off for a while because the same songs over and over again drives us crazy, they can't figure out why there's no sound coming out haha). In between they can relax and play with their toys or on the swing, but then they'll be tired again.
They now have real collars on during the day because new adventures are waiting from this week. For safety reasons we take them off at night, luckily we can already recognize them well without collars.
The puppies were a bit slow during the day due to the heat and preferred to lie on the cool floor. They were especially active early in the morning and evening. They still love visitors. It's wonderful how many lovely people and children the puppies have already met. Grandma Lola and aunt Mila also came to visit. It was wonderful to see how relaxed they all were with each other. And we are all still spoiled, thank you!
We've updated the week 5 photo album with some lovely photos from the past few days.

July 17th
The days fly by. The development of the puppies goes very fast, every day they learn and discover new things. We removed the whelping box and put a crate and a few comfortable baskets in the puppy room. The puppies were perfectly fine with this and immediately got used to the new situation.
The back door is now open more and they´re playing outside a lot. They enjoy it very much, but after 15 minutes they are tired and go back to bed.
Potty training is going great, we're now expanding this to learn them to pee & poop outside. The first day they still went from outside to inside to do their business on the newspapers (really clever!), but after some practice they slowly started to get it.

They're getting a day and night rhythm and already sleeping through the night until 5.30 in the morning. Perfect for the new owners soon! We are so incredibly proud of the little ones. In the photo album of week 5 you can see pictures of all their new adventures.

July 14th

The pups have had a very busy weekend, but they really enjoyed all the visitors. They love all the extra attention and crawl on everyone's lap. They are playing with all the new toys they receive (thank you all so much for the lovely gifts!) and are extremely satisfied. They're already incredibly well potty trained for 4 weeks old puppies, even when they're sitting on someones lap they'll let them know when they need to do something. They're the best!

July 10th
It was a few busy days with lots of visitors. Dalina, the puppies, and we are incredibly spoiled. So sweet, thanks everyone for the gifts. The puppies really enjoy the visitors and sleep cosy on their lap.

They are developing amazing and you see them learning and discovering new things every day. A few of them can gallop really fast now, they love to do that. They now get steamed meat with special puppy milk in the evening, they like it a lot. We will slowly expand this over the coming days. In the photo album of week 4 you can clearly see how well the puppies are growing.

Even though they are already 3.5 weeks old, Dalina is still super caring and very busy with her little ones. We can keep saying how proud we are of her. She has already been to the forest in the car a few times and she enjoys that too.

July 6th

Today we had a special guest; Joke and Cor came to visit the puppies. Joke joined Leonieke on her trip to Kas (camp Lacrima Christi Casino Royal), the father of the puppies in Croatia. It felt very special to now sit together among the little miracles. Dalina was absolutely thrilled and also loved showing her babies.
The puppies are doing really great and are already becoming little doggies. Their teeth are coming through and they´re sometimes sleeping in a basket outside the whelping box. They are playing, slowly becoming potty trained and have eaten some steamed meat for the first time. How happy and proud we are!  We have added lovely pictures of the beauties to the photo album of week 3.

July 4th
Yesterday the puppies moved to the kitchen & utility room. We actually wanted to do this coming weekend, but Dalina's rascals were clearly ready for more space and challenges. They can now get out of the whelping box and play and explore, they love that. When they grow a bit bigger, they can also choose to go outside from here. It's a bit colder here, so the heat lamp is on a lot again. If they get cold, they at least have a nice, warm place to lie down. Unfortunately, this does result in photos with a red glow, but hey, the puppies still look great. Taking pictures of the puppies in action is quite a challenge, they are so quick. All photos can be found in the album of week 3.

July 2nd

Two weeks before the puppies were born, we had Dalina tested for worms. Fortunately, everything was fine and we didn't have to deworm her. Now that the puppies are 2 weeks old, she and the puppies have been dewormed.

Martine recently attended a webinar on parasite control in which it emerged that stool testing in young puppies is not entirely reliable. After we personally asked the veterinary parasitology laboratory about this, it was confirmed again that they also advise deworming young puppies according to the "old schedule" without first performing stool testing. The puppies weren't too happy with it, they thought the deworming paste was disgusting.
Now that they can hear and see a little, the puppies start to play and want to explore more and more. So cute. We are also already do some potty training; after drinking we put them on the puppy toilet to pee. Some puppies understand it very well, so clever! Some have even pooped on the toilet!
In this heat, Dalina goes swimming with All Stars to cool down. She enjoys it very much. We also make her comfortable with cooling mats and a fan, she can appreciate that. The puppies are half Croatian ;-) and are not bothered by the heat, but they also use the cooling mat in the whelping box.

More pictures can be found in the photo album "week 3".

June 29th
Today the puppies are already 2 weeks old. It may be cliché to say, but how time flies! Almost all the eyes are completely open. They walk super cool through the whelping box and are very satisfied. The first visitors (people Dalina knows) visited the little ones and brought beautiful presents. Thank you very much, very sweet! The puppies enjoyed all the extra attention and cuddles. Dalina is also doing well. Every day she joins All Stars a bit longer on a walk and at home she sits on the couch more often. She´s amazing!

June 26th
We are totally in love with Dalina's beautiful babies. They are so sweet and cute, we can't take our eyes off them. They change every day, so much fun to see. Today it was time for the pedicure again and we clipped 128 nails. And since a picture tells more than a thousand words, we will share some more pictures of Dalina's little miracles.

June 24nd

Dalina and her puppies are doing great. The weekend was warm, but with a cooling mat in their whelping box the puppies didn't suffer much from it. Dalina now has a pillow next to the whelping box. This way she can take some rest, but she can still see her kids. We still sleep next to the welping box every night, in the morning Dalina crawls into our bed for a while and sometimes a puppy lies next to us.
All puppies have perfectly doubled their birth weight within 10 days. Their spots are coming through and all puppies already have full nose pigmentation. With some puppies you can already see a small opening in the corner of their eyes.  They are already starting to walk through the whelping box and love to be tickled and cuddled. What sweethearts they are. We are enjoying them very much and are so incredibly proud!

June 21rst

We are so in love with Dalina's team!

June 20th

A day of life in the life of a Handsome Friends puppy:

The day starts after a night full of loving care from my mommy and many visits to the milk bar. Mommy gets support from my breeder, who keeps a close eye on whether my brothers & sisters don't drink all the milk and whether there is enough for everyone. Mommy goes out for a while in the morning, she dares to leave us alone for 10 minutes now. But we are not alone, my breeder gives us all a good morning kiss.

When my mommy comes back and lies down in the whelping box again, I crawl straight to her for a drink. Mommy washes me again and makes sure I pee and poop. Then I eat my belly out together with my brothers and sisters.

Every day around 10 o'clock we need to go on the scale. Of course that is accompanied by an extra cuddle moment with our breeder. After that I go back to drinking or chilling in the whelping box.

I often snuggle up to my mother, brother or sister, a cuddle toy or my breeder. They often sit in our whelping box and then we crawl up on their lap.

We also do yoga now (ENS, early neurological stimulation). Yes, we are modern puppies! According to my breeders that is good for our development, so that I can become a nice stable dog later.

Today my nails were clipped for the first time, because there were already small hooks on them. I don't want to hurt my mommy while drinking, so I politely allowed the nail clipping.

At the end of the afternoon our whelping box is cleaned. At that moment my mother goes for a walk and we go in a basket. According to our breeders we are fatties, the basket is almost too small for us. We also get a new cuddly toy in the whelping box every day. Different structures and surfaces are important for our development. When our mommy comes back I go and drink again. My mommy has such delicious milk.

When night falls I get nice warm hot water bottles in the whelping box, if I get cold I can lie against them. The heat lamp is also turned on. Our whelping box is nice and big and the heat lamp hangs along the edge. Then my mommy, brothers, sisters and I can choose whether or not to lie under it. Also at night my mommy regularly goes out for a pee, just like during the day. But she's only gone for a very short time. My breeder makes sure that we all have enough to drink at night. Mommy does not drink milk from the breast, she often gets a bowl with goat's milk, kibble, fish and all kinds of other tasty things in it. When I grow up I can eat that too, my breeder says. And then it is morning again. Time for a new day.

Did I already tell you that in between everything we enjoy drinking, relaxing and chilling?

June 19th

The names of the puppies have been approved by the kennel club. We proudly introduce Dalina's eleven kids to you, the order of the photos is the order in which they were born;

 June 17th

Some photospam of the puppies.

June 16th
Yesterday Dalina became a mother! She gave birth to 6 males and 5 females. We are so proud of her, she is a fantastic mom. The puppies are super active and very content. They drink well and Dalina is very busy taking care of them all. The collars we bought turned out to be a bit big so we had to improvise in the middle of the night. Luckily we still had a box with paracord in different colors.

Day 1:

Day 2:

 June 9th

The countdown; Dalina is now 8 weeks pregnant. Dalina is still doing great. She does take her walks more slowly and sometimes her belly gets in the way, making it difficult to lie down comfy. We try to make her as comfortable as possible. The puppies are very active so we feel and see them moving a lot. So beautiful and special to watch. Dalina and we received some really sweet cards, nice drawings, a delicious snack package and sweet messages. Super nice and thank you very much for that. From this week on rest is the focus.
Our dogs are rarely alone anyway, but from now on there will always be someone with Dalina so that she can deal with all the new signals that her body gives her in peace and with our support if necessary. The welping box and pen is set up and everything is ready; just a little more patience, but how long will that be.........

June 2nd

And then Dalina was already 7 weeks pregnant, unbelievable how fast it goes. Fortunately she is doing very well. We sometimes feel the puppies moving in her belly, such a special feeling. Last week she had her second and last herpes vaccination. The vet thought she looked good. We'll be walking her for shorter distances from today, but more often. Yesterday we set up the whelping box, next week the mattress will be made to measure and we will set up the pen. This way Dalina, but also All Stars and Yob can get used to the new situation. Yob takes his role as “big brother” very seriously and has already tested the whelping box. He's such a sweet boy.

May 26th
And another week has passed; Dalina is 6 weeks pregnant! Her belly is growing nicely and she is taking it a bit easier on our walks. She is not allowed to jump in the car herself anymore, so she walks nicely over the ramp into the car. The postman delivered many packages last weeks. For example, we bought a new scale, toys, collars, snacks, new food bowls and new Dry beds have also arrived from Germany. All those preparations are so much fun!

May 19th

Dalina is exactly 5 weeks pregnant today. She is doing great. She is growing & eating well and still likes to go for a walk. The rest of the day she prefers to be petted on her belly. She's already halfway through the pregnancy, exciting!

May 12th

Yeaaahhhh, Dalina is pregnant! Everything looked fine for now on the ultrasound. Her belly is already growing a little. We're really happy.

May 5th
Dalina is doing very well. We don't notice much about her yet, except that she dreams a bit more and moans in her sleep. She is also incredibly cuddly, but she has always been that way. She is still enjoying her life. Orthomolecular nutritionist Joke from Advies voor je Hond drew up an extensive nutritional plan for Dalina a few weeks ago. This keeps Dalina optimally healthy and it promotes the good development of the (hopefully) future puppies. We're very happy with it and All Stars loves it too!

April 22nd

Dalina went to the vet today for a herpes vaccine. Not for herself, but to protect her puppies in case she is indeed pregnant. She is already in the second week of her pregnancy, how time flies!

April 18th

We're back from our trip to Croatia. Leonieke traveled with Joke Sauerbreij (Dalina's breeder), Martine stayed home with All Stars so that he didn't miss anything either. Fantastic that it was possible this way! It was a very long and tiring, but beautiful and unforgettable trip. Thank you so much for you hospitallity Lovorka! Dalina (I Nenya Ikigai of Dalmatey's Spot) & Kas (Kamp. Lacrima Christi Casino Royal) really liked each other. We hope that their romance was successful and that Dalina will have nice, sweet, beautiful and healthy puppies. You can find a photo album of our trip behind the button.

March 15th

We received the results of Dalina her DNA test. Dalina will only have black spotted puppies and is free of the lemon gene. We are "patiently" waiting for her to come into heat. Then we will travel to Croatia to meet the future father of the puppies.

September 21th

We're really excited to announce our C litter. This litter is planned for spring/ summer '25 and the parents to be are our lovely girl I Nenya Ikigai of Dalmatey's Spot (Dalina) and the beautiful Lacrima Christi Casino Royal (Kas).

We think this is an amazing combination in health, exterior & type but also genetic very interesting. Both parents have bilateral hearing, HDA, ED0, complete dentition and complete nose & eye pigmentation. We will see what the future brings. Some pictures of Kas;
